And, on the Tappan Zee Bridge, we spotted the Hawaii plate for the return trip. Very exciting. Something tells me, though, that we are going to have trouble snagging the missing plates from Wyoming, Idaho, North Dakota, and Montana on the last leg from CT to MA! Good luck to us!
Funny, I never even knew there was a town by that name! We ended up getting out of NYC at rush hour, so the drive along the Merritt was full of commuters and not too pleasant for about an hour, but then it cleared up.

I love saying “Tappan Zee”. Oddly, the town is pronounced tapPAN, but the bridge is TAPPan.
